The Frankincense Trail
Frankincense is a resin used in incense and fragrance. Made from the Boswellia Tree. The name Frankincense comes from the French word franc encens meaning high-quality incense.
Similarly, Myrrh is a resin which comes from the Commiphora tree. The Boswellia and Commiphora tree which produce the resin is native to Somalia, Oman, Yemen, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia. While the Boswellia is also found in India.

History of Essential Oils
In ancient times incense was commonly set a light to fill the atmosphere with aroma. Essential oils are distilled by using extracting methods such as steam distillation which exploits steam produced by boiling water. This carries through the plant and creates the oil which passes through the distiller.
While these methods are still commonly practiced today, there are now many alternatives that this generation are blessed to have.

The future of Aromatherapy with Diffusers
Diffusers are now in more demand than ever, diffusers are a good and practical choice. There are two types which work perfectly in any house hold or dare I say it, an office space. Without any requirement to light a candle (fire safety).
The first is a diffuser stick pack with essential oils, lasting a number of days, the essential oil can be refilled without discarding the bottle. While the diffuser sticks absorb the oil, diffusing it in the air.
The second and more recent product on the market is the electronic diffuser which can be charged by battery, USB or electric plug.
The electronic diffuser uses drops of essential oil with water to create mist or vapour which heats when on and fills the air with the aroma.
Most of these diffusers now come with timers, multiple LED colours and power settings, to suit the atmosphere.
